Watford was created as an urban district in 1894 & became a municipal borough in 1922. Cassiobury Park is ten minutes from the town centre & has lots of facilities, another of the landmarks is Vicarage Road stadium, which is home to Watford FC & Saracens rugby club. There is also a market in the town centre, which is on Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays. With all this going on the road system is very busy.
